Paste your complete Velo snippet into the site-wide Header field and save. Code injection is available on Core, Plus and Advanced, and eligible legacy plans. Check the published site after saving.

Publish and check the live site
Save and publish the change using the platform steps above, then clear any site or CDN cache. Open the published URL in a fresh browser session. Check the banner where your region rules require it, test accepting and rejecting, and verify consent defaults and updates before your measurement tags run. Confirm the site appears as installed in your Velo dashboard.

Switch Squarespace's own banner off under Cookies & Visitor Data so Velo is the only layer your visitors see. The Header injection applies site wide, so there is nothing to add per page, and 7.0 and 7.1 sites both work the same way.

Which Squarespace plan do I need?
Site-wide code injection is available on Core, Plus and Advanced, and eligible legacy Business or Commerce plans. Check that the Code Injection panel is available on your site.
Squarespace has its own cookie banner setting.
Switch it off under Cookies & Visitor Data so Velo is the only banner your visitors see. Two banners confuse people, and two consent layers send Google conflicting signals.
Do I need to add it per page?
No. The Header injection applies site wide: every page, blog post and product page inherits it. Per page injection exists on Squarespace but is not needed for Velo.
Will it slow the site down?
The dashboard snippet loads asynchronously. As with any script, measure its effect on your site and check your tag order; asynchronous loading alone does not guarantee consent defaults run before other tags.
