Copy the line
Copy the complete installation snippet for this site from your Velo dashboard. The example below shows the format; replace your-site-id before using it. Keep the API endpoint supplied by your dashboard.

Add Custom Code in the dashboard
Open Settings → Custom Code, then Add Custom Code. Name the entry Velo, paste the complete snippet, choose All pages and Head, and apply. Your Wix site must be published with a connected domain.

Publish and check the live site
Save and publish the change using the platform steps above, then clear any site or CDN cache. Open the published URL in a fresh browser session. Check the banner where your region rules require it, test accepting and rejecting, and verify consent defaults and updates before your measurement tags run. Confirm the site appears as installed in your Velo dashboard.

Wix runs custom code on the published site only, so the banner will not show in the editor preview. Switch Wix's own cookie banner off as well, so one layer talks to your visitors and to Google.

Which Wix plan do I need?
Custom code on Wix requires a premium plan and a connected domain, the same requirement any tracking tag has. With that in place, most installs take a few minutes with either method on this page.
Wix shows its own cookie banner. Do I keep it?
No. Switch the built in banner off so Velo is the only layer talking to your visitors and to Google. Two banners confuse people, and two consent tools send conflicting signals.
Why is the banner not in the editor preview?
Wix runs custom code on the published site only. Publish, open the live address, and the banner is there. The Velo console confirms the install from the first real visit.
Will it slow the site down?
The dashboard snippet loads asynchronously. As with any script, measure its effect on your site and check your tag order; asynchronous loading alone does not guarantee consent defaults run before other tags.
