Paste the snippet

Denied by default, banner up
Velo sets the Google Consent Mode v2 defaults before your other tags run, denied where your region settings ask for opt in, then shows the banner. Google tags adjust to the choice and tags you gate on Velo's consent event wait for it. Every choice is saved to your consent records.

Verify, then publish
Check that the consent signals change in Tag Assistant when you accept and when you reject, then publish. Run the same check again whenever you change your tags or banner settings.

What teams putting a banner on Wix ask first.
Is this the same thing as Velo by Wix?
No. Velo by Wix is Wix's own developer platform for writing code inside the Wix editor. This Velo is an independent consent management platform by Amplio Data: a cookie banner and Google Consent Mode v2 layer that installs on Wix sites with one line of code. Same name, different products.
Does Velo work on the free Wix plan?
Custom code on Wix requires a plan with a connected domain, so you need a premium Wix plan to add any third party script, Velo included. On any paid Wix site the install is one paste.
Do I need Google Tag Manager on my Wix site?
No. The snippet works on its own through Custom code. If you already run Tag Manager, import the Velo CMP template instead and keep your whole measurement stack in one place.
What does Consent Mode v2 do for a small site?
It passes each visitor's choice to Google Ads and GA4, which Google expects for visitors in the EEA, and the tags adjust to it. Google may model some conversions from declined visitors when its eligibility and traffic conditions are met. Smaller sites may not meet them, so do not count on it.
